holiday snaps part 2

The second week of our holiday was spent in Southampton with Jamie's parents.

 It was a lovely relaxed week.

 I spent time reading, doing a puzzle, watching the Olympics and we spent a couple of days exploring.

 We visited Longleat Safari Park.

 I have wanted to go for a really long time and it didn't disappoint.

 Although it was great getting to spend time with our family and friends, it was wonderful to have a day for ourselves.

 

In the Monkey section Jamie gained a wing man.

 

We also spent a day exploring Portsmouth. 

Although it is only a 20minute drive from their house Jamie's parents hadn't visited the spinnaker tower since it had been built.

There is a glass floor in the viewing room of the tower. 

It is very high up. 

I am not a fan of heights, but I did walk on it!

Hoilday Snaps part 1

I promise I will update you on my weekend very soon, but I have found my camera lead so I am grasping the chance to show you my holiday snaps!

We didn't go anywhere fancy but we did spend two lovely weeks on the south coast visiting our families.

The first week was spent with my family.

We went for a day out with my parents to a beautiful national trust property with amazing gardens.

I got to practice trying to photograph bees, there were loads almost one to every flower!

We also got to spend time with our wonderful friends, we hunted treasure, ate mexican food and played crazy golf late at night. it was fun, but unfortunately I didn't take any photos.

I also got to meet the lovely little Isabelle.

She is almost as beautiful as her Mum

 

She is beautiful and I got to hold her lots. 

She fell asleep on me. 

I loved it.

Lost Camera lead

For the first time all week I have had a chance to blog and I have lost my camera lead!

So frustrating.

Oh well, it will keep you on tenderhocks, for an update from our little holiday and our photo wall (we have been working on it all year- its not that impressive, but we like it!).

Anyway i hope i find my lead soon as i would like to update my blog before Friday as this weekend jamie and I are travelling down to see my family and meet my new Aunt. - If you don't yet know the story of the new Aunt, its quite exciting.

So signing off on that cliff edge.

 

Speaking of cliff edge - I would love to visit this restaurant in bali!

 

Kas' Hen party fun!

She is getting married this weekend,

but before that we had a weekend of fun and laughter with friends.

We went mountain boarding...

We had a couple of falls...



Kas was really good at it!



Played a murder mystery game...

Ate good food, drank good wine and enjoyed each others company.

- All in all a good weekend!

This week after a nearly two weeks of resting with family

My ThankfulThursday this week has to be spending time with

FAMILY!

Last week of Skirts and Dresses (30 before 30)

Sorry it's late, but here it is -

my last week of wearing skirts and dresses for July.

Boy am I glad to wear trousers again!

I have worn jeans for the last three days, it feels good.

I have enjoyed this challenge, it has made me think more creatively about what I wear and I have put more effort in to my appearance.

I went to a hen party last weekend, we went mountain-boarding and I even wore a skirt then!

I will share some of the photos from that great weekend soon.

I have now crossed 4 items from my 30 before 30 list.



#ThankfulThursday

Today I am thankful for holidays! 

It has been a little quiet here because we are away enjoying time with family, friends and each other.

Also my parents don't have any photo editing software so I haven't been able to bring you my week of dresses yet.

Today is my last enforced day of skirt/dres wearing. It feels a little odd that I might wear shorts or jeans tomorrow...
